I started this platform after going through a few life and health challenges which helped me shift my focus on what truly matters in life. These circumstances also made me realize that I am truly happy only when I share and connect with beautiful people and also when I give back to my community. Plant-based nutrition and Minimalism have played a huge part in my healing journey and since I get a lot of questions about these topics, especially being a mom, I started a YouTube channel and blog to show you how you can easily incorporate delicious and quick plant-based recipes into your diet and follow a minimalist and balanced life. I don’t believe in miracle solutions, deprivation, starvation or counting calories, Zest and Glow is about eating and nourishing your body with delicious foods that will make you glow from the inside-out! I am talking about fruits, vegetables, beans, lentils, nuts, seeds, healthy fats.. All of Mother Nature’s goodness!
By incorporating a more plant-based way of eating, you are limiting your consumption of anything that is processed and contains yucky additives, and fueling your body with natural and wholesome ingredients.
Healthy eating should not feel like a chore and my mission is to show how easy, fast and delicious it is to follow this healthy lifestyle. THE MINIMALISM MINDSET
There is a lot of misconceptions about minimalism and hopefully, this blog will allow you to see how easy it is to incorporate this mindset. I say mindset and not lifestyle because for me minimalism is more than just owning a certain x number of clothing items or ensuring that all my surfaces are clear, it’s more about how we perceive life and mainly about realizing that we have everything we need to be happy and grateful.
We live in a fast-paced environment, swallowed up by the effects of technology and excessive publicity where there is the constant need for more. Studies are showing that there is more depression and anxiety than ever before and having suffered from both in the past, I turned to minimalism (without even knowing about the movement at the time) to finally find and root myself. By removing all the excess in my life (from clothes to unhealthy relationships and even feelings), I finally felt freed and alive.
Adopting this mindset also helped me become more mindful and hence more productive. I intend on sharing more about my journey, as well as all of the tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way through this blog and Youtube channel, you can subscribe to the Youtube Channel by clicking here.
